Challenge

New traders copy people they don't understand. Most trading apps show numbers, not the person behind them.

Profiles were walls of stats. You could see a return percentage, but not how someone trades, what they hold right now, or whether their wins came from luck or a repeatable habit.

That made following a trader feel like a blind bet, so people either never followed anyone or followed the loudest account.

Approach

Make a trader's profile read like a story: who they are, how they've done, and what they hold today.

I focused on three questions a new trader asks in the first ten seconds on a profile:

  • Can I trust them? Verified badge, followers, and a clear track record.
  • How have they done? One total PnL number with a simple chart and time ranges.
  • What are they holding? Live positions with entry, current value, and change.

Process

From sketches to a profile you can scan in one glance.

I mapped what traders look at first, sketched layouts that put trust and performance above the fold, then tested the hierarchy with a few traders before moving to high fidelity.

A clearer profile that helps people decide who to follow, faster.

Add what changed after launch: numbers, quotes, or what you learned.
